Dear Friends,

As the challenges facing our communities evolve, so must we. The demographics and needs of the South Asian population have changed since ASHA for Women was founded 32 years ago. We’ve been working long and hard to re-imagine our organization to meet the needs of today’s South Asian community and for the years ahead. With that, comes new branding

Today, we’re excited to unveil and launch our new name and logo!

Ashiyanaa means ‘home’ in many South Asian languages. Our new name and logo reflect our commitment to provide a safe and peaceful home for all. We carry that commitment forward with our renewed mission.

Empowering South Asians to lead peaceful lives of dignity, hope, and self-sufficiency by providing comprehensive and culturally-sensitive services.

With our new identity, we are taking a clear direction towards inclusivity and redefining our services to include all South Asians with origins from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. Visit our new website to learn about Ashiyanaa’s programs and stay tuned for more updates in the coming months.

Thank you for your continued support and trust. Our journey continues – renewed, energized, and empowered by our volunteers, staff, and all of you.

Respectfully,

Board of Directors
Ashiyanaa, formerly ASHA for Women
